Popular actress Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, who won hearts with her performance as Jasmine in the famous TV series Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai has passed away. It's shocking news for all of us, the 32-year-old woman who was full of life, recently met with an accident in North India.

The sad news was confirmed by producer JD Majethia, who took to his Instagram handle and posted a story. As per the reports, Vaibhavi's last rites are expected to be held in Mumbai on 24th May, Wednesday.

The sources reveal that Vaibhavi Upadhyaya met with a road accident in Himachal Pradesh on May 23, Tuesday afternoon. The accident took place when she was traveling with her fiance, the vehicle went out of control and at a steep turn.

Talking about her career, Vaibhavi was a rising star. She played crucial roles in several films, including Chhapaak.

It's unbelievable, an actress who gave life to the characters she played, is not between us. The popular actor-producer, JD Mehta, who is devastated by the demise of the Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actress, confirmed the news with an official statement which he shared on his official Instagram story.

His post read,"Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay popularly known as 'Jasmine 'of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the north. The family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for the last rites. RIP Vaibhavi (sic)."

Even the Anupamaa actress, Rupali Ganguly who has shared the screen with Vaibhavi in the most loved sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, took to her official Instagram account and mourned the sudden death of her co-star with a painful post.




Rupali Ganguli shared a picture of Vaibhavi from their famous series with a caption that read,"Gone too soon, Vaibhavi..."

Also, other celebs like Deven Bhojani, who was also a part of the actress's most loved series, took to his Twitter handle and mourned his co-star's demise. He wrote,"Shocking! A very fine actress and a dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay, popularly known as ' Jasmine ' of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the north a few hours back. Rest in peace, Vaibhavi."
