At a promotional event for the upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan 2, Aishwarya Rai spoke about playing Nandini in both films. As per the reports of a leading media agency, the actress said that Nandini in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, which also featured Salman Khan, was a very memorable character.

She expressed how thankful she is for getting the role. The Devdas actress feels it's a blessing for her to play such strong and layered characters through these revolutionizing movies.
