Jersey, a Telugu superhit is being remade by Bollywood. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead, the movie was scheduled to release on December 31st. But becuase of the sudden rise in Covid-19 cases across the country, the release was indefinitely postponed. The Jersey team dropped a new trailer, announcing the new release date.

Revolving around the rise and fall of a cricketer, Shahid Kapoor plays Arjun Talwar where he lives and breathes the game. However, after facing a severe downfall, he parted ways with the game, thus leading a half-hearted life. After marrying his college sweetheart Vidya Talwar (Mrunal Thakur), they have a son. Even after so many years, his calling for cricket never fades away. That's when Kapoor decides to play the game once again, this time playing for the national team to fulfil his son's desire for a Jersey.

Last seen in Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has transformed himself for the role. And for Mrunal Thakur, she was last seen with Kartik Aaryan in the movie Dhamaka.

Jersey is all set to release on April 14th in the theatres near you. Brace yourselves because this movie looks like a superhit innings. Watch the trailer here.
