Kangana Ranaut, Arun Govil Shine As They Lead In Mandi And Meerut In Lok Sabha Polls
Lok Sabha elections 2024 started with the Bharatiya Janata Party showing a rather bold move by showcasing a myriad of new faces to compete from different constituencies. Amid these new names are two Bollywod actors who are shining bright: Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil.
The two actors were contesting on a BJP ticket. While Kangana Ranaut was competing from Mandi, the Ramayan star was ruling from Meerut. The saffron party is taking the lead in the two states as they are leading in their respective constituencies.
For the uninitiated, the two actors entered politics this year to contest on a BJP ticket as they showed their vocal support for the Modi government.
Along with the two superstars, many other actors have entered politics and are contesting for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Another veteran star, Hema Malini, who is seeking a third term in Lok Sabha from Mathura, is also ahead by 1.5 lakh votes.

Another veteran Bollywood star contesting for the Trinamool Congress, Shatrughan Sinha, is leading his bid to get elected in West Bengal`s Asasol with a lead of over 22,000 votes.
Other actors who are contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections include Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan from Northeast Delhi and Gorakhpur, respectively. Both of them are representing Narendra Modi`s BJP. Tiwari is enjoying a lead of 43,000 votes, while Kishan is ahead by over 22,000 votes in his constituency.
However, not all actors are enjoying the Indian citizens`s precious votes. The BJP`s Locket Chatterjee is trailing by 15,000 votes in her constituency of Hooghly, West Bengal.
Kangana, who is a BJP supporter, claimed that there is a complete `Modi wave` in the state. She even encouraged and appealed to the citizens to exercise their right to vote in this election season.
"I appeal to everyone to exercise their right to vote in this festival of democracy. There has been so much bloodshed so that we can exercise this right," Kangana Ranaut said after casting her vote.
