Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor took the internet by storm after they announced The Crew, a Bollywood comedy starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon. A delightfully unusual pair of three leading actresses, The Crew is based on three cabin-crew members whose life takes a major turn after they are forced to start weaving a web of lies. Now the good news is, singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has joined the gang as one of the lead actors in the upcoming Bollywood comedy.

Diljit Dosanjh Joins The Crew

Confirming the news, producer Rhea Kapoor said, 'We are thrilled to have Diljit join the cast considering his discerning eye for quality projects. This film has always had a special destiny, it's unlike any entertainer you have seen before. The cast and I are excited to provide audiences with an exciting and memorable cinema experience.'

Diljit Dosanjh has previously acted in some spectacular movies like Udta Punjab, Good Newwz, Soorma, and Phillauri. Co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Anil Kapoor Productions, The Crew will go on floors by March end. Then pre-productions of the movie have already started. This is the second time Rhea will be collaborating with the Veere Di Wedding writers to bring us yet another rib-tickling comedy.

'My aim was that now that this audience has found our films and we have found our audience, I want to create something that gets them excited, makes them feel like getting represented, and gives them a big entertaining movie on a holiday just like the boys always have. So I am going to put my heart and soul into it. That's how this movie's idea was germinated,'Rhea stated.

Co-producer Ekta Kapoor even clarified The Crew is a standalone project and is nowhere related to Veere Di Wedding.
