Top 10 Bollywood Movies of 2017 by Radio City RJs

The feminist rom-com starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt completes our RJs list at No. 10. Chartbusting music and soulful performances by the leads aside, Badrinath Ki Dulhania was an entertaining commentary on the right to choose career over love and respecting one anothers ideologies.

The lady oriented surprise hit of the year did not fail to charm our RJs as well. With sparkling performances by Konkona Sen Sharma and Ratna Pathak Shah, Lipstick Under My Burkha was a tight slap served right to patriarchy.

We love Akshay Kumar for playing the everyman in an entertaining format and our RJs vouch by Jolly LLB 2. Offering us a character who undergoes a change of heart and overcomes his own conflict of thoughts, Akshay was jolly-good in the film.

Just like us, our RJs too couldnt escape the madness that was Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. How erectile dysfunction poses a threat to the lives of two lovebirds left us laughing aloud, much after we had walked out of the movie halls.

A sequel that left the world stumped, Bahubali 2: The Conclusion simply had to make it to this list. Needless to emphasise any further.

The Zaira Wasim-Meher Vij-Aamir Khan starrer was entertaining and emotional in equal measure. Our RJs laughed and cried alongwith Insiya, Najma and Shakti Kumar.

A joyful housewife moonlighting as an RJ at night, who hosts a naughty show. Even our RJs could not help but succumb to the charm of Vidya Balan in Tumhari Sulu.

It was the year of Rajkummar Rao and Newton was the icing on the cake. The movie made us question our hypocritical perspective about democracy and constitutional rights.

Old-school romance wrapped up in humour with winning performances, Bareilly Ki Barfi was as sweet an entertainer as its name suggests. And it was a unanimous favorite amongst our RJs.

The Irrfan Khan-starrer Hindi Medium was an instant favorite amongst our RJs. The film finally cemented the position of Khan as the ever-reliable actor of all seasons.

2017 was a year when substance overpowered style. When lesser known faces rose to prominence and reigning superstars failed. Yet, these ten films stood the test of time.
