Despite a stellar performance by Rajkummar Rao and positive reviews from international media, Omerta did not interest the hungry Indian audience, and hence, Omerta sunk at the box-office.

The movie failed to generate positive pre-buzz owing to news breaking out about Irrfan Khans sickness and the lack of promotions. Blackmail on the whole was a forgettable film and definitely, a blot on Khans impressive graph.
