When you watch The Hateful Eight you get the feeling of the movie being relative to Tarantinos earlier film Reservoir Dogs. It isnt inventive as his other works, yet it is an enjoyable watch because of its stellar cast. An Academy Award winner for Best Original score, a special mention must be given to Jennifer Jason Leigh for her outstanding performance as Daisy Domergue.

Django Unchained was Tarantinos most controversial work as the movie deals with Afro-American slavery in 19th centurys America. Starring Jamie Fox, Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L Jackson, Django Unchained gave us a ruthless villain in DiCaprio who received an Oscar nomination for the movie.

Starring Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz and Mlanie Laurent, Inglourious Basterds is a glorious take on the Nazi Germany political leadership during the World War II. It contains the directors penchant for stylistic playfulness. The filmmaker clearly believes in the power of images to undermine evil and the gore in the movie is abundant.

Film-makers should take cue from Kill Bill Vol 2 on how a sequel should be made. The movie maintains the sequence of events in Brides quest for revenge on those who left her for dead.

The first of the two-part series, Kill Bill Vol 1 gave us a delightful Uma Thurman who was unstoppable in the movie as Bride. A martial-arts filled revenge fantasy saga, the movie cannot be categorized into a particular genre.

A movie that is highly recommended for avid cinema lovers, Pulp Fiction was Tarantinos claim to fame. It made Samuel L Jackson, a legend and resurrected John Travoltas sinking career.

Reservoir Dogs was a decent trailer on what Tarantino had in store for his audience. Humourous and violent, the movie boasted of a supreme cast. Also, did you know that Kaante starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt was inspired from Reservoir Dogs?
