Slappies 6: Saridon Sardard Film of the Year-Nominees

If you felt adapting a widely read classic against the backdrop of Kashmir and a red-haired Katrina Kaif was a winning box-office formula, think again. Though we feel sorry for Tabu, somewhere Rekha ji would be thanking her stars.

The franchise seems like an employment scheme prepared for Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi and a few prospective debutants. Our heart only bleeds for Riteish Deshmukh, because we know he's capable of so much more.

You cannot think of making a superhero film if your special effects are at par with those deployed by Ramsay Brothers. Our only advice to Remo Dsouza, Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez is, rush to the nearest film school. Pronto.

What could've been a grand musical, sadly goes down the drain. Starring Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher, the film had enough zeal and chemistry, equivalent to a bland marshmallow. Even director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra couldn't savage this disaster.

Starring an actress who has been around for more than a decade and an actor who can barely manage a dozen expressions, 'Baar Baar Dekho' was a grand letdown by debutante director Nitya Mehra. Thank God for the soul-saving music though.

We are still in a state of shock as to how and why did this happen. Who would've thought that something as immature as this movie could've been doled out by a director whose debut film ran for over a thousand weeks in a Mumbai theatre? To add more fuel to the fire, the movie cut out a sorry figure of Ranveer Singh who won several accolades and appreciation with his last outing, 'Bajirao Mastani'.

Just watching Himesh Reshammiya make love to a hapless debutant was enough a reason for us to run towards the exit door. The big question is what were Naseeruddin Shah and Shekhar Kapur doing here?

Starring Tushar Kapoor, Vir Das and Sunny Leone, to even call this film Sastizaade would be polite.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone. To watch Hrithik Roshan battle a poorly edited CGI crocodile was a bad start already. But what was disheartening to note was how a director who gave us iconic films in 'Lagaan', 'Swades' and 'Jodhaa Akbar', could not craft a competent storyline in Mohenjo Daro. To make matters worse, who could forget Pooja Hegde, whose costumes conveyed more expressions than her.

Puerile humor and an incompetent starcast makes this adult comedy worthy of top honours. Starring Tushar Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani, the movie was a slogfest of the highest order that can easily equate to a death sentence.
