'Yaarum Illai' is a delightful collaboration between New Delhi fusion duo Shadow and Light and Haricharan, the most sought after name in the Tamil music industry. Essaying the inspiration artistes seek to create what they do using rains as a motif, vocalist Pavitra Chari always expressed her desire to perform in Tamil. A chance interaction with Haricharan during their maiden US tour in 2018 sowed the seeds of the creation and the rest is history.

Rightly hailed as the Adele from Mumbai, there is something extremely comforting and reassuring about Mallika's vocals that you immediately succumb to the charm of 'Way Too Long'. A bitter-sweet song about the inability to express love in the millennial age, Mallika's honeyed vocals range from slow to affirmative, displaying her prowess as an Indian voice of international repute. With composition by Shivang Arora, the singer wrote the lyrics of the song in apparently, less than an hour.

Featuring Abhay Sharma from The Revisit Project, 'Sab Sunliya' is a celebration of the power of unrequited love by New Delhi-based band KAPOW. Combining pop with progressive rock and psychedelic blues, the band redefines experimentation with their first Hindi track, following a sensational debut EP in English, earlier in February 2020.

A heavy bass club banger, 'Ashanti' marks the collaboration of Indian electronica's most promising talents Parakh Mathur aka Paranox and Vikas J aka Mr. Jammer. Initially titled 'Shanti', the duo opted for the antonym as it went with the overall vibe that the track would enable. Replete with heavy synths, 'Ashanti' is a must-addition to your party playlist.

An alternative rock outfit from Mumbai, Just Jupiter features vocalist-guitarist Rooshabh Doshi, guitarist Shishir Singh, drummer Suyash Medh and bassist Aditya Mehta. The band just premiered their five-track debut EP, 'Jams from Jupiter' in Summer 2020 and 'I Can See The Sun' is a soulful melody replete with hope and optimism from the compilation. Rooshabh implies that the EP is about courage and faith in times of despair. With the pandemic foiling their release and tour schedule, Just Jupiter decided to go digital with their labour of love. Indie music enthusiasts can't be thankful enough.

Bangalore-based Odia rapper Samir Rishu Mohanty aka Big Deal encourages open dialogue on sex through his latest single, 'Sayx'. The melody is simplistic in treatment keeping mass appeal in mind. Samir's thoughts are on point. Why shy away from talking about something that you owe your existence to? The rapper feels that talking about sex without attached stigmas can help in reducing the rate of sexual crimes in our country. An important listen, this song is.
