Following 'Soch' earlier this year, Mumbai rapper MC Altaf reminds his fraternity about the virtues of simplicity and being rooted with his second release of 2021, 'Humble Rap: Freeverse'. At a time when his contemporaries are chasing their fan following and losing their craft in the bargain, Altaf, accompanied with beats by DRJ Sohail, another talent from Gully Gang Records besides the rapper, dismisses superficiality, thereby expressing his willingness to embrace honesty and authenticity.

New Delhi-based producer Rohan Goyal aka Zen Clef combines forces with multi-instrumentalist project The Earflower Experiment and Arunachal Pradesh-based guitarist and singer/songwriter Takar Nabam to deliver an Electro-R'N'B composition that delves into the toxicity of modern-day relationships.

Based on a Sufi poem by Baba Bullehshah, Sufi-Electronica, mother-son duo Kavita Seth and Kanishk Seth deliver yet another vibrant, but deeply divine rendition with 'Ki Jaana'. It's music video, designed by Lebanon-based visual artist Dana Durr, invites you into settling down for a few minutes of well-earned solitude.

With 'Liberate', New-York based singer/songwriter Manas Jha concludes his three-track EP 'Trifecta'. Accompanied by stalwarts Warren Mendonsa of Blackstratblues fame on guitars and production and Jai Row Kavi on drums, the song unearths the trappings of drug and alcohol addiction.

Delhi-Pune based Kashmiri singer/songwriter Pragnya Wakhlu offers solace with her easily hummable 'Song of Hope'. One among six songs from her EP, 'Lessons in Love', the track offers much-needed reassurance in these troubled times without coming across as 'fake-positive'.

Expressing detachment and disillusion, Kamakshi Khanna comes off age as a singer-songwriter with 'Duur'. Penned alongwith Sameer Rahat, followed by Kabeer Kathpalia aka OAFF's supreme production and Karun Kannampilly's drums , the New-Delhi based singer/songwriter unravels a new layer of her musicality.
