Radio City Freedom Awards 4.0: Performances to Look Out For

Comprising of Indian Ocean's bass guitarist Rahul Ram, lyricist Varun Grover and stand-up comic Sanjay Rajoura, Aisi Taisi Democracy's acts offer socio-political satires through music. Since Radio City Freedom believes in Music and Beyond, ATD promises enough food for thought through their compositions for avid indie fans.

The Mumbai-based band has amalgamated Indian classical music with contemporary progressive riffs to offer stellar contributions to the indie music scene. The band comprises of Kaushik Ramachandran on vocals, Chinmay Agharkar and Desikan Gopalan on guitar, Ajay Jayanthi on violin, Ariel Samson on bass guitar and Aamir Ismail Shaikh on drums.

Formed by Amey Patkar aka AP and Abhishek Dhusia aka Ace in 2005, Mumbai's Finest has grown as a force to reckon with for underground Hip-Hop in India. Inclusive of emcees, rappers, producers, beatboxers and b-boys, the collective boasts of an impressive record of having won three coveted honours at the Radio City Freedom Awards, 2015 as the Best Hip-Hop/Rap Artist.

An Electro-Acoustic duo based in Kolkata, Sukanti Roy and Anushree Gupta's compositions reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Indian sub-continent. They are known to fuse contemporary electronica with traditional folk music. Since the launch of their debut album, 'Ashmaan' in 2013, there has been no looking back for the duo.

Capturing the essence of the 'Sounds of the Soil' initiative that the Radio City Freedom Awards 4.0 has initiated, the Grand Finale on March 22, 2017 has an electrifying line-up of indie acts chosen from the length and breadth of the country.
