PadMan: Akshay, Sonam promote film on a Marathi singing reality show

Directed by R.Balki, the film releases on January 25th, 2017.

The film also stars Radhika Apte as Chouhans wife Gayatri. The film has been produced by Twinkle Khanna, Sony Pictures India, KriArj Entertainment, Cape of Good Films and Hope Productions.

Akshays role is apparently based on the life of Indias Menstrual Man Arunachalam Muruganantham.

Sonam Kapoor, plays the role of an NGO worker who helps Akshays character get his innovative sanitary pad making machine across India.

Akshay Kumar will essay the role of Laxmikant Chouhan, a determined village simpleton who aspires to make lives easier for women in his home-town by providing them low-cost sanitary pads.
