She made her foray to Hindi films with the remake of 'Chashme Baddoor', which was directed by David Dhawan. But it was her brief cameo in Akshay Kumar's 'Baby' that brought her to the limelight. She followed her act with back-to-back successes in 'Pink' and 'Naam Shabana'.

Taapsee began her film career with Telugu movies in 2010. Her first film was 'Jhummandi Naadam' directed by K Raghavendra Rao. She went on to Tamil films as well. Her first Tamil film, 'Aadukalam' opposite Dhanush, fetched her critical acclaim.

She won many beauty pageant titles like Miss. Fresh Face and Miss. Beautiful Skin at the 2008 Femina Miss India contest.

Didn't we say she is a beauty with brains? She did her graduation in Computer Science from the Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, New Delhi and also worked as a software engineer initially, before she took to modelling.

She started her training in Bharatnatyam and Kathak since fourth grade.

Taapsee studied at the Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
