1. Debut MovieCan you guess Dilip Joshi's debut movie? It was Maine Pyaar Kiya. He bagged a role in Salman Khan and Bhagyashree's superhit movie as the servant in the lead actor's house. Playing the role of Ramu, his comic timing was applauded staright up from his first ever stint in the entertainment business. He continued to work with Sallu Bhai in his next superhit film Hum aapke Hain Kaun, portraying Bhola, Salman's family friend.Here's a fun fact - Salman is not the only Khan he has worked with. Featuring in Phir Bhi Dil Hain Hindustani, Joshi has also worked along Shah Rukh Khan.

2. Dilip Joshi was jobless for a yearBefore getting the mainstream cinema and television fame, Joshi was jobless for a year. For him, theatre has been his first love. His career in Gujarati theatre was spanned across 25 glorious years where the play 'Daya Bhai Do Dhaya' had him in the lead. After his last theatre stint in 2007, the actor was hunting for work for the entire year till the makers of TMKOC called him to audition for Jethalal's role.And the rest is history. When producer Amit Kumarr Modi offered Joshi an option between Jethalal and Champaklal, the actor refused to portray the former. Instead, the thought he'd be a better fit for Champak Chacha's role.
