Five Popular Actors who have never won the National Film Awards

Rightly known as the Gregory Peck of India, the Indian cinema legend known for his films such as 'Guide', 'Asli Nakli', 'Kala Pani' and 'Jewel Thief', unfortunately never received the national recognition for his entertaining work.

Rightly hailed as the Superstar in his time, the late Rajesh Khanna never got the National honours despite boasting of a lucrative filmography with 'Amar Prem', 'Aradhana', 'Anand', 'Kora Kaagaz' and 'Haathi Mere Saathi'.

The living legend of Indian cinema has delivered cult classics such as 'Devdas', 'Madhumati', 'Ram aur Shyam', 'Leader', 'Mughal-e Azam' and 'Ganga Jamuna'. Though he has passed his prime many decades ago, it's a pity that the enigmatic thespian is yet to be honoured with a National Award.

Needless to emphasise that he is the Perfectionist. Despite credible and path-breaking films in his illustrious career, the actor is yet to win the Best Actor laurel at the national level.

The Badshah of Bollywood has never won the coveted National honour despite boasting of a massive following and having given notable performances particularly in 'Swades' and 'Chak De India'.

Akshay Kumar's win as the Best Actor for 'Rustom' at the 64th National Film Awards have left his fans elated.
