As Colonel Surinder Sodhi, Sunny Kaushal offers a sincere, spirited act in Kabir Khans The Forgotten Army. His emotions and thoughts radiate his energy and honesty through the show, making feelings of patriotism and nationalism relatable for the millenial audiences.

So convincing was Pratik Gandhi as infamous stock broker Harshad Mehta in Scam 1992 that fan comments across YouTube and other social media sites echo a common sentiment. That Harshad Mehta enacted Gandhi efficiently. A performance that is simply insatiable for cinephiles, the actor made us empathise with Mehta without absolving the accountability of his questionable actions.

As the nearing-retirement RAW officer Himmat Singh, Kay Kay Menon lent gravitas and dignity to his role in Special Ops. He was unfiltered and had an inane ability to speak the most inappropriate things at unlikeliest situations. No other actor could have been more reliable for Himmat Singh that Menon.

As a young man tasked with the responsibility of heading the state of administrative affairs in a village, much against his wishes, Jitendra Kumar was on point with his portrayal of Abhishek Tripathi in Panchayat. One could relate to his exasperation and dread as he comes to terms with settling for the rural life.

As the well-meaning cop Hathiram Chaudhary, Jaideep Ahlawat finally received the much-needed recognition and visibility as an actor, ever since fans first took notice of him as Shahid Khan in Anurag Kashyaps Gangs of Wasseypur. The actor conveyed Hathirams frustrations and desparation with a nuanced performance that will long be cherished by fans and critics.

Divyendu Sharma returned as Munna Tripathi in the second season of the much hyped show, Mirzapur. As the impulsive and raging protagonist, Divyendu also added emotion and depth to the character, helping us empathise with Munnas hurt and resentment, towards his father. Surprisingly he turned many of Munnas detractors to his fans by the end of the season. Pity we wont see anymore of him with the franchise going forward.
