Best Metal Nominees, Radio City Freedom Awards

Moving away from groove metal and sticking to heavy metal, Wired Anxiety's 'Heavily Sedated' boasts of the influence drawn from Russian death metallers Katalepsy. The song talks about a new breed of slaves.

What Escapes Me gets you thinking with the hit single from their debut album, 'Egress Point'. Known for fusing Indian classical instrumental in their compositions, the Kolkata-based band boasts of their own brand of metal music.

The hit death metal single from the Hyderabad-based band's debut EP 'Centuries of Decadence', 'Infest' was composed twice. Once with New Zealand vocalist Sean O'Kane Connolly in the absence of a vocalist and second when Kaushal LS came on board as the band's lead vocalist.

The title track from Demonstealer aka Sahil Makhija's second album is introspective. The drumwork by American death metal band Nile's George Kollias perfectly compliments the full-throttle composition that begins on a tender note but evolves to a heavier sound.

A thrash metal delight, 'Defiled' is reminiscent of classic British thrash metal tunes. Sung to perfection by vocalist Varun Panchal, the song is from the band's latest EP, 'Fury Incarnate'.

Presenting the nominations for the Best Metal Artist Nominees at the Radio City Freedom Awards 4.0. Winners will be announced at the Grand Finale on March 22nd, 2017 at the Hard Rock Cafe Worli.
