In the charming romantic caper revolving around school romances, Aamir was a show stealer especially in the scene where he labels Pooja Bedi's character as a gold digger when she chooses to leave him after finding out about his social status.

Aamir Khan shone in this John Mathew Mathan film as the hard-talking, no-nonsense cop who confronts a cultural artist from across the border, in the guise of a terrorist. The confrontation scene in the climax between Aamir and Naseeruddin Shah was par excellence. Walking the fine line between truth and loyalty never felt this real.
