A member of well-known Brit band, Blue, Simon Webbe set on to establish himself as an independent artist, following a brief split from the band in 2005. Simon released his first solo single Lay Your Hands which peaked at number 4 on the UK Singles Chart. His second single No Worries too topped the UK charts at No. 4, making him the only Blue member to have multiple Top 10 singles. His debut album, Sanctuary followed the success of his first two singles. Though it saw a slow start at No. 28 on the UK Albums Chart, it eventually rose to No. 7 and has now gone to double platinum. He is also the cousin of former Sugababes singer, Keisha Buchanan.

Bagging eight Grammy titles with her debut album itself, Indian-born Norah Jones is the daughter of sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar and the half-sister of sitar-player and composer, Anoushka Shankar. Her debut album, Come Away with Me, was celebrated for its blending of acoustic pop with soul and jazz. The album received platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America on August 22, 2002, and went on to become a diamond album on February 15, 2005. Her second album Feels Like Home was nominated for three Grammys. It won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Sunrise. She has also made several appearances in films. In 2007, she starred in My Blueberry Nights, which was nominated at the Cannes Film Festival for Palme dOr.

She has always propagated about human rights through her music. Her widely recognised single, Fast Car, highlights about the struggles faced through poverty. In 2004, Chapman was given an honorary doctorate in Fine Arts by her alma mater, Tufts University, for her commitment to social activism. Chapman performed Ben E. Kings Stand By Me on one of the final episodes of the Late Show with David Letterman in April 2015. Her latest album, a compilation of the Greatest Hits, consists of 18 tracks including the live version of Stand by Me.

The only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Eric Clapton is an influential English rock and blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. Clapton ranked second in Rolling Stone magazines list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time and fourth in Gibsons Top 50 Guitarists of All Time. He was also named No.5 in Time magazines list of The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players in 2009. Not many people know that it was his son, Conors death in 1991 which inspired his tremendously successful single, Tears in Heaven. A recovering alcoholic and drug addict, he founded the Crossroads Centre on Antigua, a medical facility for recovering substance abusers. Some his best work include Layla, Wonderful Tonight, I Shot the Sheriff and My Fathers Eyes.
