Adil HussainHailing from Assam's Goalpara, Hussain started his career as a part-time stand-up comedian. After becoming a mobile theatre artist, he enrolled himself into the National School of Drama. He went to London to study at the Drama Studio London on a Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarship. In 2004, he made his Bengali debut along with Soha Ali Khan in the period drama, Iti Srikanta.After having played small parts in a couple of films, it was Vishal Bharadwaj's Ishqiya that got him attention in Bollywood. He went on to work in moves like Agent Vinod, English Vinglish, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Life of Pi, Good Newzz, and more. 2. Geetanjali ThapaBorn in Gangtok, Geetanjali is a professional model who paved her way in Bollywood with her debut film Tina Ki Chaabi. Her next film I.D. bagged her Best Actress award at Los Angeles Film Festival and Madrid Film Festival. She was also seen in movies like Monsoon Shootout, Anurag Kashyap's short film That Day After Everyday, Trapped, and more.The short film garnered over 6 million views within weeks of its release. Thapa, who played the female lead in the movie Liar's Dice won the Best Actress award at the 61st National Film Awards. 3. Lin LaishramAn Indian model and entreprenuer from Manipur, Linthoingambi 'Lin' Laishram made her first debut in Om Shaanti Om as a cameo. She went on to do theatre where she was noticed by Bollywood. She played the role of Bembem in national awar winning movie Mary Kom alongside Priyanka Chopra. You can also spot her in independent film Umrika opposite Prateik Babbar. Last seen in period romantic drama Rangoon opposite Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, and Kangana Ranaut, Laishram owns a jewellery line called Shamooo Sana which she started in 2017. Recently featured in Axone, a Netflix release, Laishram said things are 'slowly but surely' changing for actors hailing from north eastern part of the country. "There is a lot of talent in the Northeast not only in acting but also sports and other activities but not all get a chance to show their skills. I am hoping a film like 'Axone' will allow filmmakers across India to see actors from the region differently, and offer them meatier and meaningful roles," she said.

4. Danny DenzongpaThe OG villian of Bollywood, Danny's real name goes something like Tshering Phintso Denzongpa. The actor who hails from Sikkim is known for some of his prominent negative roles in films like Agneepath, Kalicharan, Phir Wahi Raat, and The Burning Train. Danny did not restrict his talent to Bollywood. You can spot him in regional cinemas such as Nepali, Tamil, Bengali and Telugu.
