Vir Das Shares A Picture With Shah Rukh Khan at The Archies Premiere

Vir Das has been having a gala time lately. He was recently on the high moon after he won the Emmy Award for his stand-up special, bringing the honor to India. Now, he was seen at the premiere of The Archies, rocking on the red carpet. He shared a picture from the night by sharing a photo with none other than the king himself, Shah Rukh Khan.

In a black-and-white picture shared by him on Instagram, Shah Rukh Khan is seen giving him a warm hug as they are smiling. In the caption, Vir Das wrote, "Met the King." The two are looking adorable, and the moment captured is priceless. It is surely going to be entrenched in the comedian's heart forever.

When he won the Emmy for his stand-up special 'Vir Das: Landing', he made a speech where he thanked Netflix and said, "I have immense gratitude for holding the International Emmy for Best Comedy for 'Vir Das: Landing.' This one is for my team and for Netflix, without whom this wouldn't have been possible."

Adding further, he exclaimed, "This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and to win this accolade for my fifth special with Netflix feels like a culmination of passion, perseverance, and the undying support of people around the globe who have given so much love to 'Vir Das: Landing'".

Further, he said, "This award is not just a recognition of my work but a celebration of the diverse stories and voices from India. Stories that make us laugh, reflect, and, most importantly, unite. This one is for India, for Indian comedy, and for the community of artists at large."

The Archies Premiere was a star-studded affair, with the Bachchan family present to cheer for the debut of Agatsya Nanda. Also, the entire family of Shah Rukh Khan was present as Suhana Khan made her big entry into Bollywood. There were others present as well, like Ranbir Kapoor, who came with his mother, Neetu Kapoor.

The Archies is a film set in the 1960s and is adapted from the popular Archies comics. It is directed by Zoya Akhtar and is deemed her most ambitious project for its distinct visual appeal and subject matter. It blends a story of love and friendship with a unique approach to storytelling. It is set to release exclusively on Netflix on December 7.
