Vidya Balan, who is not just a fine performer but also a very opinionated individual, did not shy away from shutting down a journalist's rather insensitive question regarding her weight. At a recent event where Vidya was awarded for her immense contribution to Indian cinema, a reporter asked her, "Humne aapki jitni bhi filmein dekhi hai, saari women-centric hai. Aage chal ke, aap women-centric filmon mein nazar aayengi ya phir aapne weight loss karne ka bhi kuch socha hai? All your films that we have seen so far, have been women-centric films. Do you want to continue to be seen in women-centric films in the future, or have you thought about losing weight?"A puzzled Vidya nonchalantly responded asking the reporter to explain the connection between doing films and losing weight. To which the reporter responded that she needed to lose weight in order to do glamorous roles.Vidya, then retorted, "Main jo kaam kar rahi hoon, usse bohot khush hoon. Aap logon ka nazariya badal jaaye toh bohot achcha hoga. I39m very happy with the work I39m doing. It would be great if you could change your perception."The National-Award winning actress will be next seen in 'Tumhari Sulu' as a happy housewife, who also doubles up as a midnight RJ at a radio station.
