Unfortunately his leniency towards a female fan, while being stuck in the traffic cost him dearly.Varun, who was stuck at a traffic signal in his car noticed a female fan wanting to take a picture of his from an autorickshaw that was riding parallel to him. The actor chose to oblige her by sticking his face out of the window and clicking a selfie for her. This moment was captured by a Mid-Day photographer and was circulated in print.However, the Mumbai Police took cognizance of Varun's actions and sent out an e-challan to him as they felt he had risked the lives of Mumbai commuters, his fan's and his.In a tweet to the actor, the Mumbai Police expressed, .@Varun_dvn These adventures surely work on D silver screen but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai! Next time, V will B harsherVarun on his part immediately took to Twitter to respond and clarify his stand. He wrote, 'My apologies. Our cars weren't moving since we were at a traffic signal and I didn't want to hurt the sentiment of a fan but next time I'll keep safety in mind and won't encourage this.'Mumbai Police was quick enough to acknowledge the actor's apology and concluded with a subsequent tweet, 'Quite a galactic coincidence for the photographer to be on the same signal to capture your gesture, in a good intent nevertheless risky.
