Whenever you see Tabu on screen, her acting is a sight for the sore eyes. Be it Ashima in Namesake or Haider's Ghazala - she has never not taken us by surprise. She has been part of stories that no other actress could've portrayed. It could her grace, charisma, or confidence that has channeled Tabu 2.0 wth her recent movies. As she turns 51 today, et's take you through three of her breakthrough roles that opened more gates for her.

1. Drishyam

Playing IG Meera Deshmukh in the movie, we all know how this one unfolds. Her acting and her demeanor elevates the movie, making it more intriguing. With the main cast coming together for Drishyam 2, we can't wait to see what more the actress has to offer.

2. A Suitable Boy

A Vikram Seth's 1993 novel adaptation that goes by the same name, Tabu's character Saeeda Bai stole the show. This critically-acclaimed web series wasn't everybody's cup of tea. If you understood this one, you understand the art behind the director's vision.

3. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Her latest release was the sequel of the cult classic. Playing a double role in the movie, Tabu shocked everyone with how the movie ended. Her performance was beyond stellar and it is safe to say that her acting was better than the rest of the cast. No one could've played the same role.
