Shocking! Parineeta Director Pradeep Sarkar Dies At 67; Ajay Devgn And Other Celebrities Pay Tribute

Director Pradeep Sarkar, who was most renowned for directing films likeHelicopter Eela, Mardaani, andParineeta, passed awayat the age of 67. With a heavy heart director, Hansal Mehta conveyed the news on his Twitter profile on Friday morning and wrote:"Pradeep Sarkar. Dada. RIP."As per the sources, Pradeep was on dialysis and his potassium levels had dropped drastically. He passed away in a hospital, where he was rushed after his condition deteriorated at 2:30 am.


Before embarking on films, Pradeep Sarkar directed various famous music videos and commercials. later on, he made his directorial debut with
Parineeta in 2005. The film starred Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan, and Sanjay Dutt. He also directed films like Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Lafangey Parindey, and Mardaani and proved his talent. He last worked as a director for the film Helicopter Eela released in 2018, featuring Kajol in the lead role.


His sudden demise has shattered everyone around and all the Bollywood stars are paying tribute to the renowned filmmaker. Drishyam star Ajay Devgn gave tribute to Pradeep Sarkar and wrote:
"The news of Pradeep Sarkar's demise, 'Dada' to some of us is still hard to digest. My deepest condolences. My prayers are with the departed and his family. RIP Dada."



Renowned filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, also wrote in his tribute,
"Sad to know that well-known brilliant filmmaker of our country Pradeep Sarkar ji passes away. A great loss to the film industry. Heartfelt condolences to his family and near ones."



Neil Nitin Mukesh, who worked with the filmmaker in Lafangey Parindey, shared how much Pradeep meant to him and tweeted: "
DADA! Why? I'll miss you dada. Will always remember you as that child-hearted, full-of-life man who taught me so much. Your creation Lafangey Parindey will always remain close to my heart. My prayers with the family."
