Mother's Day 2024 is around the corner, and we cannot wait to celebrate it with our moms. Though mothers deserve to be celebrated and acknowledged every day, there are some hands-on moms who are a massive inspiration. One of them is Priyanka Chopra.

The Citadel actress and her husband, Nick Jonas, welcomed their little bundle of joy in January 2022 through surrogacy. It was a blissful feeling for the parents as they held their daughter, Malti Marie.

Like every other celebrity mom, Priyanka Chopra was overly protective of Malti Marie and covered her face every time they stepped out in public. It was last year that she revealed her face at an event where the Jonas brothers were being felicitated for their contribution to western music.

Now, ahead of Mother's Day, PeeCee opened up on mom guilt, work-life balance, striving to create a safe space for her daughter, and everything in between.

'I think children are not born to us they are born through us to have their own lives. And that's how my parents raised me, and my mom raised me. And, you know, she always said that I'm your safe space. That's what I want to be for Malti, her safe space, and let her do whatever she wants,' the actress said.

As always, her response was all things introspectional and just on point.

For those living under a rock, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child, a daughter, in January 2022 via surrogacy. For the longest time, the couple was tight-lipped about their decision to opt for a surrogate.

Speaking about balancing her career and motherhood, Priyanka's strategy is to have Malti Marie along with her on sets as frequently as she can.

Drawing on experiences from her own childhood, where her parents introduced her to their professional world at a tender age, PeeCee strives to do the same with her toddler.

'I think children are not born to us they are born through us to have their own lives. And that's how my parents raised me, and my mom raised me. And, you know, she always said that I'm your safe space. That's what I want to be for Malti, her safe space, and let her do whatever she wants,' Priyanka Chopra said.

She further added, "I would visit my dad's office too... This is one thing that really helped me understand what my mom and dad (Ashok Chopra) were doing when they weren't with me and I went to school.'

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in Heads of State alongside John Cena and Irdis Elba. She also has Frank E. Flowers' The Bluff, co-starring Karl Urban.
