Padmavati: Make way for Maharawal Ratan Singh aka Shahid Kapoor

Monday morning seems to have gotten brighter for us as the makers of 'Padmavati' revealed the first look of one of the film's leading men, Shahid Kapoor.Playing Maharawal Ratan Singh who is Rani Padmini's husband and the King of Mewar, Shahid looks every bit of the ferocious, brooding and intense Rajput king, who takes Allauddin Khilji, heads-on in the battle of Chittoor when the latter declares war over his burning desire for the Queen of Mewar.Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Padmavati' will see Shahid pair up on-screen with Deepika Padukone for the first time, who plays the titular role. The film also stars Ranveer Singh as the third primary lead, essaying the role of the evil invader Allauddin Khilji. Also, Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh are expected to play crucial roles in the film.'Padmavati' releases in cinemas on December 1st, 2017.
