Which is why his Independence Day release 'Gold', is this year's most awaited release.'Gold' brings to light the story of India's first gold medal win in international hockey as an independent nation, in 1948. Directed by Reema Kagti, the makers released the official poster of the film, which will also feature Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sunny Kaushal in key roles.Both Akshay and producer Farhan Akhtar of Excel Entertainment took to social media to unveil the official poster.While Kumar's tweet read, 'Desh banta hai jab sab deshvasiyon ki aankhon mein ek sapna hota hai. Gold15Aug', Farhan tweeted, 'All victories begin with a dream. It fills me with immense joy to present to you the official poster of Gold, a film that is very close to my heart.'With music by Sachin-Jigar and lyrics by Javed Akhtar, the film releases in cinemas on Independence Day 2018.
