#LucknowCentral: Farhan Akhtar dons the musician avatar with a twist

The gritting and intriguing trailer of the Farhan Akhtar-starrer 'Lucknow Central' is out and Akhtar is once again set to reveal his musical side, but with a twist.Set in the rustic city of Kebabs, 'Lucknow Central' is about a young slacker Kishan Mohan Girhotra played by Akhtar, who nurtures aspirations of becoming a singer. However, an uncalled altercation with a cop gets him convicted on a false charge, and he lands up in Lucknow Central jail.While spending his days in prison, Kishan befriends fellow inmates which include a stellar cast of supporting actors, featuring Deepak Dobriyal, Gippy Grewal, Rajesh Sharma and Inaamulhaq. Together they decide to form a band, where they feel their music will help them escape. Diana Penty ably supports as the emphatic NGO activist. Ronit Roy lends his supremacy as the antagonizing, bad cop.Directed by Ranjit Tiwari, 'Lucknow Central' is a joint production between Viacom Motion Pictures, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.The film releases in cinemas on September 15th,, 2017.Watch the trailer below.
