Hichki Trailer: Rani Mukherji returns with a Queen-sized performance

The trailer of Rani Mukherji's film 'Hichki' is making all the right noises on social media today and why not.Featuring Mukherji who returns to the screen after a sabbatical of three years following marriage and motherhood since her last release 'Mardaani', 'Hichki' talks about the sensitive subject of Tourette's syndrome, a speech defect causing an individual to face hiccups often while speaking, through the eyes of Naina Mathur, the character played by Rani. Rani wins you over from her very first appearance in the trailer and keeps you invested till the end.Despite the speed bumps in her speech, Naina's resolve to teach is firm. Hence, Naina is given the responsibility to teach a group of under-privileged children who land up at a reputed school owing to Right to Education and who are easily oppressed. Will Naina and the children overcome the odds is what the film will showcase.Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra who earlier directed 'We are Family' starring Kajol and Kareena Kapoor Khan, 'Hichki' is all slated to release on February 23rd, 2018.
