The makers of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', dropped the teaser of the film, following the director's birthday on Wednesday evening.Based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi and Jane Borges' book 'Mafia Queens Of Mumbai: Stories of Women From The Ganglands', 'GK' starring Alia Bhatt in the titular role, traces the story of the feared madame of Kamathipura, who was once a victim of domestic abuse. Her rise to power and eventual popularity as an icon who champions for the rights of sex workers is what forms the crux of the film.From the rushes of the teaser, Alia gives us a glimpse of yet another feisty performance that she has in store for the audiences.Scheduled for a theatrical release on July 30, 2021, the film has been produced by Bhansali Productions and Pen Movies.
