Filmfare OTT Awards 2023: Alia Bhatt, Manoj Bajpayee and Vijay Varma Win Big

The Filmfare OTT Awards 2023 concluded on Sunday in a star-studded evening. Among those present were the nominees in various categories in the OTT space. The awards ceremony was held on November 26.

Who won what?

Among the list of nominations in different categories, Alia Bhatt won the award for Best Actor, Web Original Film (Female) for her stunning performance in Darlings, which was released in 2022.

Manoj Bajpayee grabbed the Best Actor, Web Original Film (Male), for his film Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai. And Vijay Varma won the award for Best Actor, Series (Male), Critics': Drama. He won this for the web series Dahaad.

Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra grabbed her first Filmfare award for her role in the Netflix release, Kathal. She won the award in the category of Best Actor, Critics' (female). She shared this award with Sharmila Tagore, who won for her performance in Gulmohar, which was released on Disney Hotstar.

Rajkumar Rao won the Best Actor Critics, Male Award for his complex portrayal of Johnny in Monica O' My Darling, directed by Vasan Bala.

Actress Rajshri Deshpande won the Filmfare OTT Award 2023 in the category of Best Actor, Series (Female). She got the award for her role in the Netflix series Trial by Fire. Her performance had received wide accolades when the series premiered on Netflix, creating a sensation among everyone.

Rajshri took to Instagram and wrote a heartfelt note after winning the award. She posted a cozy picture of herself with the award and wrote, "Ufffff @filmfare for best actor. I have no idea how I can respond to so much love and appreciation for me and my work in #trialbyfire. There are so many people to thank and so many people to respond to."

She further said, "Till I form my words and post about it, let me hold her, my black lady, close to my heart, take this sunshine and blessings, and breathe for a bit."

Ace director Vikramaditya Motwane won the Filmfare Award for Best Director Series for his magnum opus Jubilee. Meanwhile, Kohrra director Randeep Jha grabbed the award for Best Director, Critics. Kohrra was released on Netflix and was appreciated for its visuals and smart storytelling.
