On Monday night, South star Dhanush and filmmaker-wife Aishwaryaa announced their separation after 18 years of togetherness. The actor, who was recently seen in Atrangi Re (2021), wrote on Twitter, '18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, parents and well-wisher to each other... Today, we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Namah Shivaaya! Spread love!' Rajinikanth's daughter posted a similar story on her Instagram handle.
