With Diljit Dosanjh being roped in for the much-awaited 'Udtaa Punjab', the arrival of Sikh actors in Bollywood has started, finally! But isn't it still impossible for Sikh actors who wear turban to bag lead roles in films?'I'm happy that with Diljit at least things have begun to happen. Humein lagta hai ki hum tabhi Bollywood jayengey jab koi bahut badi film humein humare ghar se leke jayegi.Honestly speaking, we all are so busy with Punjabi projects that it becomes extremely difficult to accept big Bollywood offers. If I'm approached for bigger projects right now, I will not be able to accept them just because I don't have dates for the next two years. It is heartening to see that every Punjabi artiste is getting a Bollywood film every week. So yes Bollywood's acceptance has grown phenomenally.'While it is great to see Bollywood accepting Punjabi songs and artistes, isn't it unfair that film on growing menace of drug abuse in Punjab is being made by a Bollywood director when it could have easily been Punjabi mainstream film? 'Films banti hain. I had focused on the same issue in my film 'Ardaas' which turned out to be a top grosser. We can't draw any comparisons between Bollywood and Punjabi cinema. We are not in the right phase wherein actors from Bollywood and Punjabi cinema can be pitted against each other.'
