Cast: Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Deepak Dobriyal, Abhishek Banerjee.

Producer Dinesh Vijan and Director Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy film 'Bhediya', will not fail to make you laugh throughout the story. The story is about a human who turns into a werewolf, the creature that bays at the full moon.

Varun Dhawan, in a never seen avatar, plays the role of a contractor named Bhaskar Sharma who is pretty ambitious in life. Harripatti (money) is all he can think of and he's willing to do anything to earn money. The film has been shot in Arunachal Pradesh, the gorgeous Northeast state which hasn't yet been trampled upon by tourists.

Bhaskar Sharma (Varun Dhawan) is on a mission to build a road that cuts right through a lush forest. He travels to the beautiful location of Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh where he has to get the locals and tribal on board to co-operate in building the road. Trees are to be cut, the jungle has to be dissolved, and wildlife has to be hampered for his ambition. Giving him company on this mission his cousin JD and a friend Jomin join him.

And as we all know, there is no Bollywood movie without any twist in it. Here comes the twist in the movie. What happens next is, the wolf bites him and spoils his mission. Bhediya, 'Varun aka Bhaskar finds himself turning into a werewolf!'

Bhediya represents the clash between tradition and so-called modernity through a clear and understandable divide between the town elders who regard the forest as a sacred space and the younger population addicted to transforming it for their benefit by harming mother nature. It reworks the conventions of the genre to craft the story of a forest facing the threat of denudation in the name of development.

Talking about Varun Dhawan's acting, he made efforts to give the unconventional role his best shot. And Kriti Sanon has limited footage in the film but made sure to engage the audience with her role.

As the film is in 3D, you get all the feel of being amidst the serene nature. The VFX used in the film is applaud-worthy and the transition of Varun Dhawan from a human to a wolf is shown rather smoothly.

In a pool of serious films, this horror-comedy is a must-watch movie.
