Anushka Sharma urges citizens to not neglect and abandon their pets

Blame it on the paranoia and superstition caused by the excessive intake of news and social media, but actor/producer Anushka Sharma is extremely disturbed by the fact that people are abandoning and neglecting their pets over rumours that their presence can contribute to the spread of the COVID 19 virus.The 'NH10' actor took to Instagram to appeal and urge fans to help and care for animals alike human beings. She wrote through an Insta story, 'It's a humble request for all pet parents to not abandon their pets during these times of crisis. Please instead, take care of them and keep them safe with you. It's inhuman to abandon them.'Anushka has always been vocal about the rights and welfare of animals. Infact, on her 30th birthday, the actress even announced that she wanted to build an animal home outside Mumbai where animals will be cared, fed and looked after.
