Filmmaker Hansal Mehta who just got married to his longtime partner Sufeena Husain has recently opened up about his experience of working with Kangana Ranaut. In a recent interview, he spoke about the actress where he stated she is a very good actor but his working period with Kangana was a 'massive mistake.' The actor-director duo came together for the movie 'Simran' which was an absolute failure at the box office in 2017.

During a recent interview, when he was asked if Kangana took over Simran's edit. To which Hansal replied, 'Edit nahi takeover kia the usne, to be fair to her, but edit takes over karne ke liye kuch tha nahi kyunki material hi vahi tha jo usne shoot karvaya tha. She is a very talented actor, she is a very good actor, a really really good actor who I feel has limited herself by making films about herself. You need not make all the characters become what you want to believe you are."

He then spoke about Kangana's song from Dhaakad 'She's On Fire' and said, 'Abhi kuch gaana aaya uskahellip she is a woman on firehellip you are basically talking about yourself. You know these are things you aspire for yourself, you put it there. It's not even my place to criticize what choices she makes. She's a big star, even today and she is a very good actor. I maintain that and working with her, we didn't gel. Working with her was a massive mistake.' They both have not collaborated since the 2017 movie.

He has been in talks for his critically acclaimed web series Scam 1992 and has made a big contribution to Bollywood and Television Industry. He will next work with Kartik Aaryan in 'Captain India' and a Netflix series 'Scoop' based on Jigna Vora's book 'Behind The Bars in Byculla: A day in Prison.'
