Angrezi Medium gets a digital release on Disney plus Hotstar

Within a month following its theatrical release, 'Angrezi Medium' starring Irrfan Khan in a lead role after a prolonged illness was one of the first cinematic casualties of the novel Coronavirus whose run was cut short. The film lasted in the cinemas for just a day before Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray officially declared that all public venues would be shut till March 31st.However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of a three-week lockdown sealed the fate of the film. While several biggies such as 'Sooryavanshi' and '83' have been indefinitely postponed, the makers of 'Angrezi Medium' took a call to release the film digitally on Disney plus Hotstar.To celebrate the digital release, the team of the film including actors Khan, Radhika Madan, Pankaj Tripathi, Deepak Dobriyal, Kiku Sharda, Ranvir Shorey, director Homi Adajania and producer Dinesh Vijan logged in together on a con-call to virtually watch the film together, making it a highly emotional reunion for each one of them.'Angrezi Medium' also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dimple Kapadia and had opened at the theatres on March 13, to average reviews.
